Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me. Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit. And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of thy name:
and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power,
and will not at all acquit the wicked:
the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
