Bible Verses about Generosity

A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
Enriched in every way, you will be able to practice all your acts of generosity, which, through our intervention, will result in thanksgiving to God.Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.
The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice.Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.
The one who provides seed for sowing and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it.Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back.
He gives strength to the weary and new vigor to those who are powerless. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
