Grace (2/2)

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cries of supplication.
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.Yet even so, because of your great compassion, you did not completely destroy them, nor did you forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.
You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace.
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Then the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will not be angry forever.’Return, rebel Israel, says the Lord. I will not look upon you in anger. For I am merciful, says the Lord; my wrath will not continue forever.
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”
Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.Rend your hearts and not your garments, and turn back to the Lord, your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and always prepared to relent from punishing.
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness.
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way.
But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’The tax collector, however, stood some distance away and would not even raise his eyes to heaven. Rather, he kept beating his breast as he said, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner.’
