Chinese (traditional)- Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people:
he will beautify the meek with salvation. - For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. - The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
- Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
- O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
- If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
- But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.
- For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
- Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
- What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him? - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee,
and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. - Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
- Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth,
which have wrought his judgment;
seek righteousness, seek meekness:
it may be ye shall be hid
in the day of the Lord's anger. - Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
- Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.Next verse!With image
