Jesus (6/8)

  • Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
  • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”

  • And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
  • And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
  • And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
  • But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.
  • Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.
  • For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
  • So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
  • Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
  • Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
