Jesus (4/8)

I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! He who testifies these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death. That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death.
For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ. For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.
Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.”
You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!
You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am.You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am.
Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”And said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.”
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; or ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it. For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
