- My son, comply with the commandment of your father,
And do not ignore the teaching of your mother. - Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

- If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer.
- For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears attend to their prayer,
But the face of the Lord is against evildoers. - This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles. - Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the sound of my pleadings. - One who loves discipline loves knowledge,
But one who hates rebuke is stupid. - “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “Return now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not listen or pay attention to Me,” declares the Lord.
- As for you, see that what you heard from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
- I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because Abraham obeyed Me and fulfilled his duty to Me, and kept My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.
- One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law,
Even his prayer is an abomination. - And I will strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will save the house of Joseph,
And I will bring them back,
Because I have had compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had not rejected them,
For I am the Lord their God and I will answer them. - And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
