- The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. - But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life. - In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
- If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

- So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. - Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.
- But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
- And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
- God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
