- The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. - But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life. - Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

lifting up my hands to you in prayer. - In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
- So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

- O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. - And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
- God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
- Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.
- For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
