- God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me;
your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! - The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless,

- The Rock, his work is perfect,
for all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
just and upright is he. - The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him,
we will also live with him. - I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - And rend your hearts and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name. - For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
- You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
- A faithful witness does not lie,
but a false witness breathes out lies. - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight.
