Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about Rest
- Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - Thus saith the Lord,
Stand ye in the ways, and see,
and ask for the old paths,
where is the good way, and walk therein,
and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein. - The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
- Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
- Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
- But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
- My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him.
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.Next verse! With image
