Righteousness (5/5)

Riches will be of no avail on the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven. For all of his works are right, and all of his ways are just. Also, he is able to humble all those who follow the path of pride. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
But the Almighty we cannot find; he is unequaled in power and judgment, and in his righteousness he will not violate justice. The Almighty—we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor? There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
“All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive.“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving. The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives.
Not because of any righteous deeds on our part but because of his mercy, he saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.
And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.
Do not swerve either to the right or to the left; keep your foot far from evil.Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.
Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Rejoice with all your heart, O daughter Zion. Shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem. See, your king is coming to you, triumphant and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful in your judgments, for the Lord, our God, will not tolerate the perversion of justice, or partiality, or the taking of bribes. Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.
And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.
Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart. So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land who obey his commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; then perhaps you may find shelter on the day of the Lord’s anger.Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.
Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness clothing you, and with your feet shod in zeal to proclaim the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold in your hand the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.

Bible verse of the day

For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
