- You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
- For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
- Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
- Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
- No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city. - All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.
- Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
- Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
- Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me. - In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
- Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
- But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high. - Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
- So then, banish anxiety from your heart
and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless. - But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
- But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
- And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
- Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
- Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.Next verse!With image
