- He must increase, but I must decrease.

Your judgments I have laid before me. - ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
- Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. - Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
- Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me. - For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.
- As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning. - Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
- Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.”
- Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him. - And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.
- In that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
- Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.
- So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors. - For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
- Arise, O Lord!
O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
- A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
- Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad. - The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy man will be put to forced labor. - Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,
And before honor is humility. - There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. - Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge,
But he who hates correction is stupid. - Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight. - Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
- Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- Sing to the Lord,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy. - He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
