- He must increase, but I must decrease.

- Keep deception and lies far from me,
Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Feed me with the food that is my portion. - For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.
- As for God, His way is blameless;
The word of the Lord is refined;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. - For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. - Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.
- And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”
- Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you,
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
How blessed are all those who long for Him. - And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
- In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
- Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.
- Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all offenses. - Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
- And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
- Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand.
Do not forget the humble. - Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
- If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people.
- So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. - A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor. - Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down,
But a good word makes it glad. - Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.
- Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
- The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy hand will be put to forced labor. - Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But humility goes before honor. - There is a way which seems right to a person,
But its end is the way of death. - One who loves discipline loves knowledge,
But one who hates rebuke is stupid. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. - Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.
- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal faithfully are His delight. - Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.
- So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church.
- Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy. - Praise the Lord in song, for He has done glorious things;
Let this be known throughout the earth.
