Bible Verses about '17:5'
- A true friend is one at all times,
and a brother is born to render help in time of need. - Blessed is the man whom God reproves.
Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud cast a shadow over them. Then a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

and the glory of children is their parents. - And a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
- Now this Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
save me, and I will be saved;
you are the one whom I praise. - One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship,
but he who divulges it separates good friends. - Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life,
but anyone who rejects correction goes astray. - I am not asking you
to take them out of the world,
but I do ask you
to protect them from the evil one. - From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”
- And eternal life is this:
to know you,
the only true God,
and the one you have sent,
Jesus Christ. - And the world with all its enticements
is passing away,
but whoever does the will of God
abides forever. - When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt.
- God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent.
- Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - And learn to do good.
Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed;
listen to the plea of the orphan
and defend the widow. - To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
- For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.

but in order that the world might be saved through him. - Our temporary light afflictions are preparing for us an incomparable weight of eternal glory.

- I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
- If anyone is rich in worldly possessions
and sees a brother in need
but refuses to open his heart,
how can the love of God abide in him? - My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - If anyone would boast, let him boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself who is really approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- Every good act of giving and every perfect gift are from above, coming down from the Father of all light. With him there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.
- If he refuses to listen to them, report it to the Church. And if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.
- I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them.
- However, the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, and considerate, full of mercy and good fruits, without any trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
- Preferable is the little that the righteous possess
than the great wealth of the wicked.
For the power of the wicked will be overcome,
but the Lord protects the righteous. - They shall be mine,
says the Lord of hosts,
my own special possession
on the day when I act,
and I will have compassion on them
as a father has compassion
on the son who serves him.
