- Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows.

to his servants, the prophets. - The beginning of wisdom is: acquire wisdom,
and no matter what the cost, acquire understanding. - The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.
- The Lord is good,
an unfailing refuge in a time of distress.
He takes care of those who place their trust in him. - May God continue to bless us
and be revered to the ends of the earth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools are those who despise wisdom and instruction. - What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- If you know me,
then you will know my Father also.
From now on you do know him.
You have seen him. - Jesus then said,
“I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
and then I shall return
to him who sent me.” - Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. - Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’ - If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - Be on guard against false prophets who come to you disguised in sheep’s clothing, but who inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?
- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life.
- You are a place of refuge for me;
you preserve me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah - Beloved,
let us love one another,
because love is from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. - In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets.
