- Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;

- What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- Deep calls to deep
at the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your waves
have gone over me. - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
- Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
- He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea. - And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
- For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.
- And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
