- Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
- So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
- And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
- Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
- And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
- And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
- And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring.
- But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
- The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge. - In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
- Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
- Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.
- And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.
- Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
- But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
- One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. - He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. - Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
