Chinese (traditional)- In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
- Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident. - A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
- And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
- Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. - For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. - And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
- “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
- The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name! - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. - Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord.
Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. - And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
- I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.” Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.Next verse!With image
