- But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

- I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.
- For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
- All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
- The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name. - For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. - Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
- And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
