- But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. - They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
- If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
