Chinese (traditional)- Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
- Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
- Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior.
- There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling.
- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - For it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.” - Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.
- For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light.
- And live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- May my teaching drop like the rain,
my speech condense like the dew;
like gentle rain on grass,
like showers on new growth. - For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover them with favor as with a shield. - The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.
- For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried. - For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
- Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.
- Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.
- I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
- The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Seek good and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
just as you have said. - Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- As a father has compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we too are his offspring.’Ah Lord God! It is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”Next verse!With image
