Bible Verses about 'Ask'

  • And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
  • And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
  • Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
  • If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
  • Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
  • If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
  • But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
  • So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
  • You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
  • If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
  • Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
  • Thus says the Lord:
“Stand in the ways and see,
And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,
    And walk in it;
Then you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”
  • You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
  • Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
  • And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.
  • Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
  • I was sought by those who did not ask for Me;
I was found by those who did not seek Me.
I said, ‘Here I am, here I am,’
To a nation that was not called by My name.
  • Do not say,
“Why were the former days better than these?”
For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
  • I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
  • But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
  • Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?
  • One thing I have desired of the Lord,
    That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
