Bible Verses about 'Ask'
- Whatever you ask for in faith-filled prayer, you will receive.
- And if we know that he hears us
in regard to whatever we ask him,
we may be sure
that all we ask of him will be ours. - Whatever you ask in my name I will do,
so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
- If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - Until now, in my name,
you have not asked for anything.
Ask and you will receive,
so that your joy may be complete. - And thus we can have confidence in him
that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
he hears us. - If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
- And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - Therefore, I say to you: ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
- But he is to ask with faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.
- So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.
- If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
- You did not choose me.
Rather, I chose you.
And I appointed you
to go out and bear fruit,
fruit that will remain,
so that the Father may give you
whatever you ask him in my name. - Beloved,
if our hearts do not condemn us,
we can approach God with confidence
and receive from him whatever we ask,
because we obey his commandments

ask for the ancient paths.
When you are shown where the good way lies,
walk along it and your souls will find rest.

to take them out of the world,
but I do ask you
to protect them from the evil one. - To him who in all things is able
through the power
that is at work within us
to accomplish abundantly far more
than all we can ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the Church

through all generations,
forever and ever. Amen. - Do not assert that the past was better than the present,

just one thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
