And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | Whatever you ask in my name I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. | Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. |
And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. | And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask him, we may be sure that all we ask of him will be ours. |
Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. | Until now, in my name, you have not asked for anything. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. |
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. | If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you may ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. | And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us. |
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. | If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him. |
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. | But he is to ask with faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. |
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. | Therefore, I say to you: ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. |
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. | So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. |
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. | You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask. |
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! | If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! |
Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. | Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it. |
Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” | These are the words of the Lord of hosts: Stand at the crossroads and look around; ask for the ancient paths. When you are shown where the good way lies, walk along it and your souls will find rest. However, they said, “We will not take it.” |
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. | You did not choose me. Rather, I chose you. And I appointed you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will remain, so that the Father may give you whatever you ask him in my name. |
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. | Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him. |

I said, ‘Here I am, here I am,’ To a nation that was not called by My name. | I was eager to respond to those who did not consult me. I was anxious to be approached by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am! Here I am!” to a nation that did not summon me. |
