Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Ate'
- I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
- Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
- Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.
- So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
- Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”
But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” - If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
- So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
- The generous soul will be made rich,
And he who waters will also be watered himself. - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
- So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.
- Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
- Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.
- A perverse man sows strife,
And a whisperer separates the best of friends. - Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
- Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls;
All Your waves and billows have gone over me. - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
- He who covers a transgression seeks love,
But he who repeats a matter separates friends. - For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
- And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
- Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
- Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
- But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
- Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.A fool despises his father’s instruction,
But he who receives correction is prudent. Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.Next verse!With image
