Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8	Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. awe blessing evil

Bring your confessions, and return to the Lord. Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.” Hosea 14:2	Take with you words and return to the Lord; say to him, “Take away all iniquity; accept what is good, and we will pay with bulls the vows of our lips.” conversion forgiveness
But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die. O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. Psalm 139:1-2	O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. seeking thoughts understanding
We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us. Ecclesiastes 5:15	As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand. greed materialism heaven
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:3-4	And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” God sadness worrying

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. Romans 16:17	I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. holiness community evil
The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them. Joel 1:12	The vine dries up; the fig tree languishes. Pomegranate, palm, and apple, all the trees of the field are dried up, and gladness dries up from the children of man. joy sadness food
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. Proverbs 13:11	Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. money greed work
But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22	But test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. understanding evil prophecy
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10	In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. sin love Savior
So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28	So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. sin sacrifice salvation
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil. sin purification evil
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. John 15:1-2	I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. fruitfulness sin obedience
They will never again be hungry or thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun. For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:16-17	They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. Proverbs 4:27	Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. evil righteousness following
