Chinese (traditional)- But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- A gossip betrays a confidence,
but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. - For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.
- But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
- All day long he craves for more,
but the righteous give without sparing. - Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed. - But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
- Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. - Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,
but fools are consumed by their own lips. - Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. - The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
- A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - Fools find no pleasure in understanding
but delight in airing their own opinions. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but whoever hates correction is stupid. - For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
- A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. - The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil. - So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.Next verse! With image
