- There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. - By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
- A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men. - And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near. - And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
- And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
- For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth. - The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple. - Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
But righteousness delivers from death. - Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all the day. - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
- Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
- Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But righteousness delivers from death. - That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God. - A talebearer reveals secrets,
But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter. - He who guards his mouth preserves his life,
But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. - Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding. - Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
- For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
