Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper, But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion.No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy.
This is what the Lord of armies has said: ‘Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother; and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.’Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another.
Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.Go and learn what this text means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble.Finally, all of you should be united in spirit, sympathetic, filled with love for one another, compassionate, and humble.
Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness.
Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness, For they have been from of old. But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy.The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in kindness.
Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.
The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, For His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.The love of the Lord is never exhausted, nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end. They are renewed every morning; his faithfulness never ceases.
“And tear your heart and not merely your garments.” Now return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in mercy And relenting of catastrophe.Rend your hearts and not your garments, and turn back to the Lord, your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and always prepared to relent from punishing.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
