The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,

my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
- Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah - Indeed, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications! - For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. - The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
- For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness. - Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - One thing I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
to live in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in his temple. - Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God.
- My child, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
for length of days and years of life
and abundant welfare they will give you. - Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
