- For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

according to his work. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- The wicked worketh a deceitful work:
but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. - Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
- Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
- Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
- Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
