God is strength (2/4)

  • For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
  • Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
    and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
  • For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
  • God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
  • And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
  • Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
  • Every word of God is pure:
    he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
  • What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
  • The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
  • Let the words of my mouth,
    and the meditation of my heart,
    be acceptable in thy sight,
    O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
  • Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
  • I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
  • There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
  • God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
  • And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
  • For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
  • Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
  • But I will sing of thy power;
    yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
    for thou hast been my defence
    and refuge in the day of my trouble.
  • Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
  • If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
  • And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
  • For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets.
