I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. | That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. |

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! | A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. | Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad. |
He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. | To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life. |
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. | If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? |
