Chinese (traditional)- For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - For he satisfieth the longing soul,
and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. - Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that ye may live:
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you,
as ye have spoken. - A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
- Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
- Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
- Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
- He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God?
I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
