- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted. - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. - Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
- Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
- Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed. - When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed.
- When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.
- For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- So that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
- And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
- There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
- And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.
- So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
- But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
- And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
- Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.
- And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
- You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
