- I shall walk at liberty,
for I have sought your precepts. - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
- The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.

for by them you have given me life. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I set your ordinances before me. - Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.
- Great peace have those who love your law;
nothing can make them stumble. - The saying is sure:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him. - For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin.
- God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.”
- Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
- But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps;
I have kept his way and have not turned aside. - I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.
- Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
- I am coming soon; hold fast to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
