- And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
- When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - For he satisfieth the longing soul,
and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. - I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
- Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. - He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
- He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
- He healeth the broken in heart,
and bindeth up their wounds. - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
- Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing.
- And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
- Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
- The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - He sent his word, and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions.
I love the Lord, because he hath heard
my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
