All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.Beloved, we are God’s children now. What we shall be has not yet been revealed. However, we do know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in him keeps himself pure, just as he is pure.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.
The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness.
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.Although it was our afflictions that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, we thought of him as stricken, as struck down by God and afflicted.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
