- But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor,
but the lips of a fool consume him. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
- And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”
- Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
- Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
- Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
- Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
- For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

- Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
