For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.
The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable.
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.That he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; he who doesn’t slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
