what God has prepared for those who love him” - The human mind may devise many plans,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. - While God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
- How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
- Am I now seeking human approval, or God's approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

taken up in glory. - The heart is devious above all else;

who can understand it?

according to the fruit of their doings. - Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
- “Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us but to God!”
