- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
- For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
- Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
- For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
- God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - I, I am he who comforts you;
who are you that you are afraid of man who dies,
of the son of man who is made like grass. - Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
- As in water face reflects face,
so the heart of man reflects the man. - But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him” - For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. - The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
- He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
- So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. - For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
- The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. - If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
