Chinese (traditional)- Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you. - You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
- Fools find no pleasure in understanding
but delight in airing their own opinions. - But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land. - Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
- I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass. - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
- Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. - I instruct you in the way of wisdom
and lead you along straight paths. - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples. - Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
- Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
- I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
- When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze. - My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
