- Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
- You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. - You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
- I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.
- Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. - And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
- I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws. - Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise. - Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
- Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”
- I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High. - Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. - You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
- I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave the guilt of my sin. - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you. So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.Next verse!With image
