- I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I look upon a virgin? - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you. - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved;
for you are my praise. - I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - I will satisfy the weary,
and all who are faint I will replenish. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
- I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples,
and I will sing praises to you among the nations. - Return, faithless Israel,
says the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
says the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
- Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my supplications.
Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live. - I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”Next verse!With image
