- You have already been cleansed
by the word I have spoken to you. - I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever abides in me, and I in him,
will bear much fruit.
Apart from me you can do nothing. - If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit
and become my disciples. - If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - I have told you these things
so that my joy may be in you
and your joy may be complete. - This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends. - You did not choose me.
Rather, I chose you.
And I appointed you
to go out and bear fruit,
fruit that will remain,
so that the Father may give you
whatever you ask him in my name. - If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
before it hated you. - When the Advocate comes
whom I will send you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father,
he will testify on my behalf.
He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.” All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in uprightness, so that the man of God may be proficient and equipped for good work of every kind.Next verse! With image
