- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
whoever is discerning, let him know them;
for the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool. - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
- Ponder the path of your feet;
then all your ways will be sure. - Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
- But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
- And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
- Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
- And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
- Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
- Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all the day. - For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.
