Let’s&p=2 (3/4)

  • Let the words of my mouth,
    and the meditation of my heart,
    be acceptable in thy sight,
    O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
  • In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
  • Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
  • If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
  • Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
  • One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
  • Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
  • Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
  • If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
  • Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
    Lord, hear my voice:
    let thine ears be attentive
    to the voice of my supplications.
  • Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
  • Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
  • Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
  • But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
  • My son, forget not my law;
    but let thine heart keep my commandments:
    For length of days, and long life,
    and peace, shall they add to thee.
  • Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
  • Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
  • My son, attend to my words;
    incline thine ear unto my sayings.
    Let them not depart from thine eyes;
    keep them in the midst of thine heart.
  • For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
  • And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
    and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
    yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
  • Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
  • Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
  • Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
  • Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
  • And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
