Bible Verses about 'Let your light shine'
- No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
 - Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your steadfast love. - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved. - Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
 - Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday. - Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. - For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light.
 - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens.
Let your glory be over all the earth. - It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory be over all the earth. - Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
 - Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
 - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
 - Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
 - The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
 - You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.
 - The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your good spirit lead me
on a level path. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and light dwells with him. - Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
 - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - For the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true.
 - For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

 - Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world. It is by your holding fast to the word of life.
 - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications! - But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
 - For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
 - When your eyes light upon it, it is gone;
for suddenly it takes wings to itself,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness?
 - Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
 - O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - My child, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
for length of days and years of life
and abundant welfare they will give you. - Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
 - In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure.
